TRAINING
Outdoor training has started:
Wednesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm for 1st, 2nd
and development players. New players are
very welcome!
Thursday 7.00pm-8.30pm for Ladies and
Mens Club training. All welcome
JUNIOR TRAINING
Junior training for under 9s will begin
on Wednesday September 10th, 6.30pm-7.15pm
Junior training for under 11s will begin
on Wednesday September 10th,7.15pm - 8.00pm
Junior training for under 13s will begin
on Thursday September 11th, 6.00pm - 7.00pm.
All training will take place at King George
V Playing Fields, Sketty Lane.
WELSH CAPS IN THE SUMMER
Congratulations to Billy Barletta, Rob
Blacklidge, Mark Joseph, Chris Wall, Richard
Jones and Enzo Favro who represented Wales
in the over 40's Tournament in Edinburgh.
Congratulations to John Colclough, Pip Reason
and Gary Cope who played for Wales in the
over 50's Tournament, also in Edinburgh
from 29-30th August.
Also former players Jonathon Gordon and
Nick Rees gained their first caps for Wales
senior squads. Well done to both of them.
U13 WELSH CUP WINNERS
The U13s won the Welsh cup on Sunday 11th
May 2008. They beat Whitchurch, Colwyn Bay
and Northop Hall convincingly. The team
was Alistair Hewins, Matthew Devoy, Kim
Pullinger, Daniel Kyriakides, Guy Marsden,
Sammy Kasto, Myles Dyer, Ben Francis, Jay
Whitwell and Ben Jones. Please click following

VETERANS WIN
The Veterans team won the Welsh Cup on
19th
& 20th April at Wrexham. That is now
6 consecutive seasons Swansea has won the
title. Swansea beat Northop Hall in the
final on penalty strokes, full time score

list. The club could really use the extra

EUROPEAN PROMOTION
Swansea Bay Indoor team completed their
objective by gaining promotion to the European
league they were relegated from last season.
The EuroHockey Indoor Club Champions Challenge
II saw the team take on teams from Lithuania,
Malta and Turkey in the group stage and
Greece and Slovenia in the final stages.
In addition to again promotion, William
Barletta was crowned Best Goalkeeper and
Jonathan Gordon the Most Valuable Player.
Micheal Colclough was named Swansea Bay's
players player of the season being presented
the new Richard Jones Cup.
By not losing a game in either the Welsh
Cup or Europe, has seen the team play some
of the best indoor in a few seasons.

LADIES WANTED
Swansea Bay HC this season has started
a new Ladies Section and are looking for
players.
The team will play their games in South
Wales Division 4. The home games will be
played at the University and teas will be
provided at the tennis club after the games.
